COVID-19 is in the driver’s seat in 2021. Your march may take on a new look because of COVID public health orders & precautions. We want you and your community to be safe. The forests need you, and need you healthy!
We’ll be posting a suite of novel ideas and activities that you can implement in place of a physical march, should COVID precautions in March 2021 limit our ability to gather.
Regardless of how you participate and what your Action is, please observe all COVID-19 precautions, and if you are not feeling well, please stay at home and send us photos of you taking a stand for forests, indoors
Don’t worry - we’ve been working on these ideas since our last march in September 2020. There are many fun and safe ways to support our forests. Stay tuned.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
When and where physical actions are allowed, we will be respecting all health measures and orders. We ask everyone planning to attend a local activity to bring a mask with them while respecting social distancing regulations.
Walk or roll outdoors by yourself or in your own small group. Carry signs that support the goals of Forest March BC. Take photos!
Do NOT invite large numbers of people to meet at a certain start point or stop at a certain end point because that will inevitably result in gathering, which risks COVID-19 transmission and is in violation of current COVID restrictions. (A 10-person outdoor gathering is okay now.) Wear a mask. Stay two meters apart.
Have fun. Get some fresh air and exercise. Support a good cause.
Please DO NOT ATTEND if you:
- Are feeling ill
- Have been in contact with someone who is suspected of having COVID-19
- Have been outside of Canada within the last 14 days.
